Once a year, members who represent the IMA as Academic Representatives within universities convene to build their community, share knowledge, and to network. This year's event will take place at the University of Greenwich on Friday 27 June 2025.
We are pleased to confirm this year's keynote speakers: Dr Chris Antonopoulos MIMA (Can We Predict the Future Behaviour of a System?) and Dr Amit Chattopadhyay FIMA (AI Towards Inequality Indexing). Both talks will be followed by an audience Q&A.
We will also explore the IMA Student Offer, presented by Professor Noel-Ann Bradshaw CMath FIMA, learn more about the Maths Outreach Kit with Dr Sam Kamperis FIMA and hear from Dr James Van Yperen AMIMA who will share details of the National Celebration of the Best Maths Projects 2025.
In the afternoon session, colleagues from Queen Mary University of London (Dr Rehan Shah MIMA, Professor Claudia Garetto, Dr Iran Roman) will share their experiences with the Levelling Up Programme. We will also hear from the team at the University of Greenwich about Maths Research at Greenwich and the potential for collaboration.
We are able to reimburse travel costs for up to two representatives from each university and would encourage you to attend in person, where possible, as there will be lots of time for networking built into the day.
Please note it will be possible to access the morning talks online for those unable to attend in person.
